“I’ve been coming here every 10 weeks for almost two years. Honestly, this place is incredible, and that is entirely because of MJ. She takes a genuinely painful process and makes it so much easier with how kind and personable she is. It’s rare to find someone who takes this much pride in their work and truly cares about the people they treat. When I first started coming, I actually assumed she owned the building because of how invested she is. Turns out, that’s just who she is naturally. People like MJ are incredibly hard to come by. If she hasn’t been given the highest promotion possible yet, she absolutely deserves it.”

“I really wanted to have a positive experience with Removery. The staff has always been friendly and professional, and I have no complaints about the technicians themselves. Unfortunately, the business side of things has been incredibly frustrating. I've now had four tattoo removal sessions and honestly don't see any noticeable difference in the tattoo. During a Black Friday promotion, I was encouraged to purchase a package after I had already spent over $600 paying for individual sessions. I was told the money I'd already paid would be applied toward the package, but that never happened. To make matters worse, my fifth appointment was canceled, and it's now been nearly four months since my last treatment. Despite that, my bank account continues to be charged $125 every month. Every time I call to schedule, I'm told I'm on the "high priority list," but no one can actually give me an appointment or explain what's going on. At this point, I'm paying for a service I'm not receiving, with no clear communication or resolution. While the employees have been kind, I can't recommend this company based on my experience. I would encourage others to look at all of their options before committing to a package here.”

“I feel like I was scammed by these five-star reviews. I’m extremely disappointed with my experience. I paid almost $2,000 upfront for a tattoo removal package after trusting the strong reviews. After only one appointment, my next appointment was canceled, and I was told the studio is having staffing issues and cannot rebook me at this time. I contacted corporate and was told services are non-refundable, even though they are currently unable to provide the ongoing treatment I paid for at this location. The next closest studio is 72 miles away, which is not a reasonable option for recurring appointments. If you are in the Buffalo, NY area, I would be very cautious before purchasing a package here. They cannot accommodate the service you pay for.”

“I really wanted this to work, but my experience here wasn't a good fit. First, MJ was wonderful. She was kind, compassionate, and professional. My concerns are with Removery's business model, not the staff. The treatment itself was excruciatingly painful. I was removing a 6x8 inch back tattoo, and because the skin is thicker in that area, the pain was much more intense than I expected. I was surprised by the lack of meaningful pain management options. If you're considering tattoo removal, especially on your back, I recommend consulting a dermatologist first. They can prescribe topical lidocaine and other pain management options like nitrous oxide that aren't available at Removery. I was also told to expect a minimum of 12–15 sessions, which felt excessive to me. From what I understand, dermatologists using different laser technology often estimate fewer treatments than that. The treatment packages also felt predatory. You're expected to commit to an expensive package before you know how your body will tolerate the process. After my first session, I knew I couldn't continue because of the pain, but getting out of the contract was a hassle. Removery ultimately released me from my contract after I submitted doctors' notes, which I appreciated, but I don't think it should have been that difficult. Scheduling was another frustration. My second appointment was canceled because the nurse I had seen left the practice, and appointments were delayed while MJ trained a replacement. It also doesn't help that Removery's closest back up location to Buffalo is in Rochester. Overall, everyone I interacted with was kind, especially MJ. But between the severe pain, limited pain management, lengthy treatment plan, staffing issues, and the difficulty canceling my package, I wouldn't recommend Removery to anyone.”

She explained the science and the process and now I am at ease knowing that body ink removal is their speciality and they have the optimal equipment.
