“For starters, they have canceled on me so many times and would only have the next closest open appointment a couple months later. I have an “extra small” tattoo that costs 220 dollars here to get removed. I started going to a different place that is so much more reliable and charges half the price of Removery. Also, I’ve called removery so many times to cancel my future appointment, but no one ever picks up the phone and their automated system only gives you the option to reschedule. I’m just gonna not show up. Definitely go somewhere else, you’ll save so much more money.”

If this isn't a bait and switch, why am I waiting over four months for an appointment? 🙄 -- UPDATE: I wish I could give the employees of this location 5 stars and the corporation itself 1. To date, every single employee I have ever interacted with (including at Removery corporate) has been nothing but exceedingly kind and professional. The treatment room is always clean and organized, and each appointment is quick and pleasant. Seriously, I cannot speak for other locations, but this location is great. I heal fast, the pain is minimal, and I never wait. Everyone is always super pleasant. On a location level, South Windsor has always had lovely employees. I have zero complaints or concerns there. Absolutely adore them, which is one of the many reasons I'm not thrilled with Removery as a corporation. First, Removery's corporate policy is "No refunds under any circumstances." This would be fine, except their policy is also to staff their locations with two total employees, only one of whom is a laser tech. When the last laser tech left, my appointments kept getting canceled and rescheduled, causing a 3-month (or so) pause in my treatment. I was offered appointments at two other locations, both of which were an hour away. I already drive 40+ minutes to my appointments. Expecting customers who pay thousands of dollars for removal to depend on a single laser technician or travel further is insane. The company can and should be doing better. At the very least, customers deserve to be informed that their entire treatment plan is depends on a single employee, and if something happens, they could see their treatment time extended indefinitely, because the corporation ALSO requires these locations to continue selling full removal packages, regardless of their current client load. This is an obvious problem that shows no consideration for the customers and ambivalence toward the fulfillment of their treatment plan. Until it's resolved, I won't be recommending Removery in general, and it's a real shame, because if these problems didn't exist, I'd be extremely satisfied and happy to tell everyone I know who asks about my fading ink. TL;DR - Thoroughly research Removery before signing a contract and handing over a lump sum for full-removal. Their business model is designed to allow clients who have paid to fall through giant cracks Removery created. It's scammy behavior, and there's no way their executives don't know that.”

“Clean facility and Certified professional professionals. Availability was extremely poor. They don’t have any appointments until April. I’m not too happy with the pricing. I have a small tattoo they quoted me $600 for three sessions, $220 for a single session, and $1500 for unlimited sessions which I thought was a bit ridiculous. Considering you need a minimum of 10 sessions that is not budget friendly at all. The receptionist seemed to have a little bit of an attitude as well. Seeking options elsewhere.”

“Subject: Formal Complaint: Scheduling Failures & Billing Concerns Mike I am writing to express my formal dissatisfaction with the South Windsor, CT location. I have been a paying client since April 2025. Despite making consistent monthly payments, the studio has now canceled on me twice. Due to these cancellations, my progress has been delayed from an 8-week clinical schedule to a 12-14 week gap. I am now forced to drive to the North Haven studio just to receive the service I am being billed for monthly. I am requesting that a manager contact me regarding a credit for my missed time or a pause in my monthly billing until my treatment plan is back on track."”
