“My first session was amazing but my second session was with someone who was definitely new. I understand that everyone has to start somewhere but this is a laser on your skin... She was so nice, but kept missing spots and lasering over skin that wasn’t tattooed. There are parts of the tattoo that the laser is /next/ to the ink. I hope for my next session I can have someone more experienced.”

“unfortunately the new techs aren’t experienced enough to decipher basic tattoo information such as what is ink and what isn’t. Further, they aren’t able to balance the laser machine in their hands causing such wobbliness that half the treatment accidentally hits stray spots that don’t have any tattoo ink. justice for the old techs!!! I miss angela!!”

“I got microblading removal. It costs $400 per session and the first session they only did one pass for me. I’ve been twice now and I was told today that one to two more sessions are recommended. I wouldn’t go again based on coat- other places In NYC cost half of what Removery charges”

“I’ve been going to this Removery for the past 3 years and it has been a fantastic experience. My tattoo is nearly gone and even though there have been a lot of sessions Tamara was always so cautious and informative. I never had a terrible reaction with blisters and she was always very professional. NYC declared these locations will need nurses now to use the lasers, so the staff is going to change sadly. “I tried different locations, after not feeling very comfortable with the one in Brooklyn, my tattoo artist advised me to ask for Tamara, so i did. I started going to this location for sessions for about a year and 1/2 now, and the staff it’s very welcoming the location is very clean and Tamara definitely it’s a great choice, she is very knowledgeable and experienced on her job. She explains me every session the progress of my 2 tattoos, one of them it’s basically gone. The second one will take some more work. Shoutout to Tamara, 5 stars to her.”

“The stuff is 10 out of 10 but customer service is terrible guys… you better watch up.. they offered me a discount if I paid in full…so I paid 6800 approx for treatment in Astoria.. after the second session they told me to change to another location and after that they never contact me… on top of that reaching them is imposible… I made my reviews on the Instagram site and they had the nerve of deleting them… they only leave th positive ones… shame on them”

I wasn’t just another customer.I was one of their biggest supporters honestly all because of the care I received from my technician, Meghan. Who is now a former employee of Removery. Meghan wasn’t just someone who performed my treatments. She guided me through one of the longest, most painful cosmetic journeys I’ve ever committed to. Tattoo removal isn’t a quick process, it takes years. When you’re trusting someone with your skin for that long, you build a relationship. You build trust. Especially since your skin isn’t something you can simply replace. Then one day… she was just gone. No warning. No explanation. I walked into what I thought was another routine appointment only to find out the person I had trusted for years was no longer there. As a client who had invested so much time, money, pain, and trust into this company, that was heartbreaking. I understand laws change, and I understand businesses have to adapt. What I don’t understand is how the people who built the patient experience could disappear overnight, and loyal clients weren’t given any communication beforehand. But now I’m left wondering who I’m trusting to finish something she spent years helping me accomplish. That uncertainty is devastating. The saddest part is that I used to look forward to my appointments—even though they hurt—because I knew I was in the hands of someone who truly knew what they were doing. Now I find myself worried about inconsistent treatments, missed spots, and potential burns. Instead of confidence, I walk in with fear. The only positive I can honestly give Removery today is that they use Candela lasers, which are among the best laser machines available. But the best equipment in the world can never replace the value of an experienced provider. I hope Removery remembers that patients aren’t just buying access to a machine. We’re placing our trust in the people behind it. Unfortunately, that trust has been broken, and I can no longer recommend this company the way I once did.”
